On April 9, 2023, the grand opening of a new McDonald’s restaurant took place at European Square 1 in Odesa. This establishment has become the tenth McDonald’s in Odesa and the 126th in Ukraine, showcasing the company's continuous growth and commitment to the Ukrainian market.

According to representatives from McDonald’s in a comment to NV Business, the new restaurant is situated in the historical center of Odesa, close to the famous Potemkin Stairs and the Duke de Richelieu monument. This location is not only convenient for visitors but also holds significant cultural value, emphasizing the importance of preserving the architectural heritage of the city.

The new restaurant occupies the first and basement floors of the building, with a total area of approximately 500 square meters. All renovation and setup work was carried out in accordance with principles aimed at preserving the authenticity of the structure, which is a crucial aspect for the company that seeks to maintain the cultural heritage of the region.

Moreover, McDonald’s has invested in improving the technical condition of the building and enhancing the surrounding area. Specifically, restoration work on the facade, waterproofing of the foundations, and replacement of water supply, sewage, and heating systems have been completed. In the courtyard of the building, new paving tiles were laid, improving the overall appearance and comfort for residents.

The opening of this new establishment represents a significant step for the local economy, as the company has created 70 new jobs. McDonald’s offers its employees, starting from the age of 16, official employment, stable salaries, flexible work schedules, and equal opportunities for training and career development. This makes the company an attractive employer for youth and individuals seeking stable employment.

Guests at the new restaurant will be able to place orders from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM. For the convenience of visitors, self-service kiosks are available in the dining area, as well as the option to use the “Mobile Ordering” service through the app. This allows customers to order meals in advance and pick them up at the restaurant or place orders while seated at their tables.

According to information provided by the company, the restaurant at European Square operates under enhanced safety regulations. In the event of an air raid alert, the establishment will close to allow employees and visitors to move to the nearest shelter. Restaurant operations will resume within an hour after the alert is lifted. During this time, employees receive full wages regardless of the time spent in the shelter during their shift, demonstrating the company's responsibility towards its workers.

It is worth noting that McDonald’s previously opened a new restaurant in Lviv at Rynok Square, indicating the active expansion of the chain in Ukraine and its desire to meet the needs of customers in various regions of the country.
