Eight Injured in Kyiv Region Drone Attack, Approximately 20 Animals Killed at Veterinary Clinic – Regional Administration

A horrific drone attack in the Kyiv region has left eight individuals injured, including a child, and approximately 20 animals dead at a veterinary clinic, according to the head of the regional military administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.

A devastating attack utilizing unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) occurred in the Kyiv region, resulting in a rise in the number of injured individuals to eight, among whom is a child. This alarming update was shared by Mykola Kalashnyk, the head of the regional military administration, via his Telegram channel on Friday. Tragically, one person has lost their life, while others have sustained injuries of varying degrees of severity.

Kalashnyk emphasized that all injured individuals are receiving the necessary medical assistance, and he reassured the public that the situation remains under the control of local services. However, reports circulating on social media indicate that none of the animals housed in a veterinary clinic in Chabany survived the attack.

Initially, reports from the State Emergency Service (SES) mentioned one fatality and one injury. Subsequently, this information was updated, revealing an increase in the number of injured individuals. Kalashnyk also reported that the consequences of the attack are being documented in the Bucha, Fastiv, and Obukhiv districts, where private homes, apartment buildings, vehicles, administrative structures, and other properties have been damaged.

This attack serves as yet another confirmation of the threat posed by hostile drones to the civilian population. The impact of the attack has not only affected humans but also animals, sparking outrage among local residents and animal rights activists. Kalashnyk highlighted that approximately 20 animals perished due to the damage inflicted on the veterinary clinic, which has dealt a significant blow to the local community.

The drone attack in the Kyiv region has triggered widespread public outcry. Citizens are outraged that such acts of violence continue to occur within Ukraine, where innocent civilians are becoming victims of military actions. Authorities are urging the population to exercise caution and stay informed about safety updates.

This situation underscores the critical importance of ensuring the safety of the civilian population and protecting animals that also suffer the consequences of military actions. Local organizations and volunteers have already expressed their readiness to assist the affected animals and their owners, providing support and resources for recovery.

The Kyiv regional authorities are continuing to work on mitigating the aftermath of the attack and providing assistance to those affected. The situation remains tense, and citizens are urged to remain vigilant as the threat of further attacks persists.
