Government Allocates Nearly ₴300 Million for Road Repairs in Kharkiv Region

The Ukrainian government has made a significant decision regarding the restoration of road infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, which has been severely affected by the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to a report by Ukrinform, the Ministry of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture has announced the allocation of nearly ₴300 million for repair works on the region's road infrastructure.

Vitaliy Kindrativ, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Environment, and Agriculture, emphasized that restoring road infrastructure in frontline regions is critically important for ensuring stable logistics and the uninterrupted functioning of the state. 'We are directing resources to those facilities that meet the daily needs of the country, including the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and support the operation of key processes,' Kindrativ stated.

With the allocated funds, the government plans to restore damaged sections of roads, which will facilitate proper transportation connections and support logistical routes necessary for the stable functioning of the region and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This decision is part of a broader program aimed at restoring infrastructure in Ukraine that has suffered due to the ongoing war.

It is noteworthy that since the beginning of 2026, road workers have already eliminated 2.8 million square meters of damage on state roads. On April 6, repair works will continue across all regions of Ukraine, demonstrating the government's active efforts towards infrastructure restoration.

Restoring roads is not only crucial for meeting military needs but also for revitalizing the region's economy as a whole. Quality roads contribute to business development, ease the transportation of goods and services, and improve the quality of life for local residents.
