Drones Attack Leningrad Region of Russia Overnight

As reported by the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, an attack involving drones occurred in the Leningrad region of the Russian Federation during the night hours. This was detailed by the regional governor, Alexander Drozdzenko, in a message published on the ASTRA Telegram channel.

According to Drozdzenko, the attack took place in the industrial zone of the village named after Morozov, where a factory specializing in the production of explosives is located. As a result of the incident, two individuals sustained injuries and were hospitalized; however, their lives are not in danger.

The governor noted that seven enemy drones were shot down during the attack. Preliminary reports indicate that debris from the drones fell in the Vsevolozhsk district. He also mentioned that the roof of a building, which is currently not in use, was damaged in the industrial zone of the village named after Morozov.

Interestingly, the village named after Morozov is home to the Federal State Unitary Enterprise "Morozov Factory," which is part of Russia's defense industrial complex. This enterprise specializes in the production of explosives, though it remains unclear whether this factory was the intended target of the attack.

It is worth recalling that on the night of March 30 of this year, the Russian city of Taganrog, located in the Rostov region, also experienced an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles. These incidents indicate a growing activity of drones in regions of Russia, raising concerns among the local population and authorities.

Moreover, the situation regarding drones in Russia is increasingly raising questions. Whether these attacks are part of a broader strategy or merely random incidents remains uncertain. However, it is undeniable that such events impact security and stability in the region.
