Uliutin: I Want to Assure Mothers That All Childcare Payments for Children Under One Year Will Be Made

Denys Uliutin, Ukraine's Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity, reassured mothers during a national telethon that all childcare payments for children under one year will be made on time.

During a national telethon on Tuesday, Denys Uliutin, the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, provided assurances to Ukrainian mothers that all payments for childcare for children under one year will be timely. He stated that as of now, nearly 110,000 families are receiving monthly assistance amounting to 7,000 hryvnias, or 10,500 hryvnias for families raising a child with a disability. Furthermore, he noted that an additional 30,000 applications for payments are currently being processed.

Uliutin reported that a total of 140,000 applications for the one-year payment have been submitted, of which almost 110,000 have already been processed, with payments assigned and transferred. The minister emphasized that the remaining 30,000 applications are undergoing standard processing, urging mothers not to worry, as all payments will be made. He highlighted that bank accounts will be opened, and funds will be credited for the entire period until the child reaches one year of age.

In addition, the minister reminded that there is also a payment of 8,000 hryvnias available in Ukraine, which is provided after the child turns one year old, but only if the parents return to full-time work. He noted that this payment is currently less in demand among the population.

It is also important to mention that mothers who give birth to a child after January 1, 2026, will receive a one-time payment of 50,000 hryvnias. Parents of children who are not yet one year old as of January 1, 2026, are entitled to receive assistance of 7,000 hryvnias until their child reaches the age of one. This initiative aims to support families and provide financial assistance during a time when parents need support the most.

Thus, Denys Uliutin, the Minister of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine, continues to work on ensuring timely payments for Ukrainian families, which is a crucial step in supporting families raising children amidst modern challenges. Payments for childcare for children under one year are an essential element of the state's social policy, and their timely execution is a priority for the government.
