Ukrenergo Announces Power Restrictions for Industry and Consumers Amid Energy Crisis

In response to the challenging energy situation in Ukraine, exacerbated by recent attacks, Ukrenergo has implemented temporary electricity consumption restrictions starting April 8.

Due to the complicated situation in Ukraine's energy system, which has arisen as a result of recent shelling, the National Energy Company of Ukraine, Ukrenergo, has announced temporary measures to limit electricity consumption. These measures will take effect on April 8, aiming to ensure the stability of the country's energy system.

According to information provided by the system operator, power restriction schedules for industrial consumers will be in effect from 07:00 to 22:00 across all regions of Ukraine. This means that businesses will need to reduce their electricity consumption during this specified period to avoid overloading the energy system.

Additionally, from 11:00 to 13:00, hourly power outages will be implemented for all categories of consumers, including residential users. This decision has become necessary due to the high load levels on the energy network, which could lead to emergency situations.

The DTEK Group and other distribution system operators, such as regional energy companies, have already published hourly outage schedules on their official websites, which will be implemented according to Ukrenergo's directives. This will allow consumers to plan their electricity usage in advance and minimize inconveniences.

The situation in Ukraine's energy system remains complex, and such measures are essential to maintain the stability and security of electricity supply. Authorities urge consumers to understand these restrictions and to use electricity as rationally as possible.

The context for these restrictions stems from recent shelling that has significantly impacted the country's energy infrastructure. In light of this, Ukrenergo and other energy companies are taking steps to prevent potential emergencies and ensure uninterrupted electricity supply for both the population and industry.

The energy situation in Ukraine remains under control, but adherence to the restriction schedules and reduction of electricity consumption during critical hours is necessary. Authorities continue to work on restoring the energy infrastructure and ensuring stable electricity supply for all consumers.
