Ukrainian defenders are not only fighting for the freedom of their country but also demonstrating humanity by rescuing animals in perilous conditions. Recently, soldiers from the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great successfully evacuated a cat and a dog from their positions using a drone to deliver food and bring the animals to safety.

This unusual incident was reported by the organization UAnimals, which is actively involved in animal protection. It turned out that the military personnel who carried out this heroic act were not only saving human lives but also caring for their four-legged friends who found themselves in danger.

According to information, the soldiers used the drone to deliver food to their comrades at the front lines. Upon returning, the drone brought back a cat and a dog. As noted by animal rights advocates, the cat was being cared for by one of the defenders, who is currently in the hospital after sustaining injuries. His comrades decided to rescue the furry companion to boost the morale of their injured friend.

Additionally, there was a dog at the military positions that the soldiers could not leave behind, so they decided to transport it to a safe location. Animal rights advocates emphasized that evacuating the animals using a drone was risky, but leaving them in a dangerous place was even more perilous.

In total, the animals had to cover 12 kilometers to reach the defenders of the 14th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Roman the Great. This highlights the importance of rescuing not only people but also animals that are suffering in the war.

Currently, both the cat and the dog are doing well, UAnimals added. The four-legged companions are with the soldiers who are taking care of them and providing them with proper care. Animal rights advocates expressed their gratitude to the defenders for their heroism and humanity, as they save not only human lives but also the lives of animals in need of assistance.

This incident once again confirms that even in the most challenging conditions, Ukrainian soldiers remain human, capable of good deeds. The rescue of animals is not only an act of compassion but also an important step in supporting the morale of soldiers who risk their lives daily to protect Ukraine.
