Ukrainian Drone Forces Destroy Buk-M1 Air Defense System, Fuel Tanks, and Russian Military Depot in Temporarily Occupied Luhansk Region

On Friday, April 3, Ukrainian drone forces successfully executed an operation that resulted in the destruction of a Buk-M1 air defense system, fuel tanks, and a Russian military depot in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk. This operation was confirmed by Colonel Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign 'Madyar.'

On Friday, April 3, it was reported that Ukrainian drone forces successfully conducted an operation that led to the destruction of a Buk-M1 air defense system, fuel tanks, and a Russian military depot in the temporarily occupied territory of Luhansk. This information was confirmed by Colonel Robert Brovdi, who is also known by his call sign 'Madyar.'

According to Brovdi, the drones under his command, referred to as 'Madyar's Birds,' identified and destroyed the Buk-M1 air defense system located near the settlement of Lyubymivka. This system, which was manufactured during the Soviet era, is designed to target aerial threats, particularly at low altitudes. However, as the commander noted, this did not save it from its 'unforgettable last encounter' with a Ukrainian drone that carried a warhead weighing between 60 to 100 kg.

In addition to the destruction of the air defense system, Madyar also reported the elimination of fuel tanks in the Shchotove area, as well as logistics depots in Valyanynske. These actions were part of a larger operation coordinated by the Deep Strike Center of the Drone Forces, which is responsible for planning and executing such missions.

It is worth noting that this is not the first success for Ukrainian drones in their fight against Russian forces. On the night of March 30, drone pilots targeted an electrical substation that supplies power to the Alchevsk Metallurgical Plant in Luhansk. This strike resulted in damage to industrial infrastructure, which will negatively impact the capabilities of Russian forces in the region.

Furthermore, during previous operations, the destruction of a Russian Tor-M2 air defense system was recorded in the settlement of Pokrovske. These actions demonstrate the active engagement of Ukrainian drone forces, which continue to inflict significant losses on Russian troops in temporarily occupied territories.

Thus, Ukrainian drones are showcasing their effectiveness in combating the aggressor by striking strategically important targets, significantly complicating the operations of Russian forces in Ukraine. These successful operations highlight the importance of drone technology in modern warfare, as well as the readiness of Ukrainian military personnel to take proactive measures in response to threats posed by Russian forces.
