Ukrainian Drones Strike Oil Refinery Terminal in Feodosia, Target Occupied Territories

In the early hours of April 8, Ukrainian drones launched a significant attack on an oil refinery terminal in Feodosia, located in occupied Crimea, alongside additional strikes on several other occupied regions. This information has been confirmed by Ukrainian military sources, partisan groups, and Russian outlets.

According to the Russian Telegram channel Astra, videos and eyewitness accounts documented a fire at the 'Maritime Oil Refinery Terminal' following the attack. This indicates that the strike was quite powerful and resulted in severe consequences for the infrastructure.

Robert Brovdi, commander of the drone systems of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, stated that Ukrainian forces targeted the oil refinery terminal as part of a coordinated operation. He noted that the strike hit the fuel storage infrastructure at the site, which is crucial for supplying Russian troops in Crimea.

The partisan group 'Atesh' reported that its agents conducted preliminary reconnaissance of the facility and relayed target data to Ukrainian forces. They characterized the terminal as a key supply hub for fuel for Russian troops in Crimea.

Astra also reported that local residents witnessed explosions and a fire in the terminal area during the night, although local authorities have not confirmed the incident. This suggests that the situation in the region remains tense, with Ukrainian forces continuing to operate actively.

Brovdi further added that Ukrainian drones struck several Russian military facilities in occupied territories, including Buk-M3 and Tor-M2 air defense systems, as well as the Zoopark-1M counter-battery radar station. These strikes are part of a broader strategy aimed at dismantling the military capabilities of the adversary.

Additionally, Ukrainian forces targeted logistical warehouses and drone facilities in the occupied parts of Donetsk and Luhansk regions. This underscores the importance of destroying supplies and resources utilized by Russian military forces.

Explosions were also reported in occupied Luhansk, with Russian officials on the ground stating that three individuals were injured due to drone strikes in residential areas, according to Astra. This indicates that the consequences of the attacks could be severe for the civilian population, which finds itself under threat due to military actions.

Notably, videos have emerged online claiming to show drones reaching targets in the city. The Russian Ministry of Defense stated that 73 Ukrainian drones were intercepted overnight in several regions, including annexed Crimea and areas over the Azov and Black Seas. However, this claim cannot be verified by independent sources, raising questions about the accuracy of the information provided by the Russian side.
