Ukraine Informs US of Russia Sharing Intelligence with Iran, Says Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has revealed serious threats arising from the collaboration between Russia and Iran, highlighting that Ukraine has repeatedly informed the United States about Russia's intelligence-sharing activities.

In a recent interview with the American television network News Nation, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed the grave threats associated with the cooperation between Russia and Iran. Zelensky stated that Ukrainian intelligence has received confirmation that Russia is not only sharing but continues to share intelligence information with Iran. This includes numerous satellite images pertaining to various sites in the Middle East, particularly in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Jordan.

Zelensky emphasized that this information is critically important as it indicates that Russia is providing Iran with support that could be used for attacks on American military bases, as well as for assaults on the energy infrastructure of countries in the region. The President expressed confidence that the United States is aware of this threat and understands that Russia is actively aiding Iran in its aggressive actions.

Specifically, Zelensky highlighted that Ukraine has repeatedly informed the American side about Russia's transfer of information regarding certain sites. “We shared this with journalists, and we reported it to the American side. They have done this three times,” he stressed, underlining the significance of this information for international security.

The Ukrainian President also pointed out that after providing specific data about the sites, the American side, having access to more advanced intelligence and technologies, began to take Russia's assistance to Iran more seriously. “When we see in Ukraine that they (the Russians) are taking pictures, they are preparing for an attack. We know that within one, two, or three days they will attack us. This is how we prepare,” Zelensky explained, clarifying why it is important to monitor Russia's actions.

It is worth noting that, according to previously released information, Russia is actively supplying Iran with strike drones, medical supplies, and food. This support is part of a strategic partnership between Moscow and Tehran, which is developing amid Iran's armed conflict with the United States and Israel. Thus, the cooperation between Russia and Iran is becoming increasingly evident, raising concerns within the international community.

These events underscore the importance of international cooperation in countering threats arising from the aggressive actions of Russia and its allies. Ukraine, as a country that has experienced military aggression, has a special role in highlighting these challenges and engaging the international community in addressing them. In light of the new challenges facing security in the region, it is crucial for countries seeking stability to unite efforts to counter threats arising from the collaboration between aggressor states.
