In her report on Telegram, Svyrydenko noted that she informed the Canadian side about the work of the Ukrainian government in preparation for the upcoming heating seasons. This is part of the regional resilience plans, which include Ukraine's key needs for energy equipment to develop distributed generation. 'We highly appreciate Canada's consistent support in strengthening our state and the recently announced contribution of 20 million Canadian dollars to the fund supporting Ukraine's energy sector,' she emphasized.
Additionally, the Prime Minister thanked Canada for its willingness to collaborate in creating a veterans' support fund. This fund aims to enhance the reintegration system for Ukrainians after their service. 'We look forward to further interaction, particularly in sharing experiences in the construction of housing for veterans,' Svyrydenko stressed, highlighting the importance of this issue for Ukrainian society.
The meeting also discussed cooperation between Ukraine and Canada in the field of critical minerals and the development of deposits. Svyrydenko noted that the parties agreed to deepen their interaction in geological exploration, which is an important step for the economic development of both countries.
Furthermore, the Ukrainian Prime Minister invited Canadian partners to become active participants in the upcoming international donor conference. The goal of this conference is to mobilize efforts for the recovery of a new safe confinement at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant following the Russian attack. This issue remains extremely relevant, considering the importance of nuclear facility safety for Ukraine and the world.
