Ukraine to Discuss Security Cooperation with European Partners in Coming Weeks - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans for discussions on security cooperation with European partners in a recent video address, emphasizing the importance of international collaboration in addressing security challenges.

In a video address published on official channels, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky outlined the country's upcoming plans to engage in discussions regarding security cooperation with European partners. These initiatives have emerged from experiences gained during negotiations in the Middle East and Gulf countries, where, unfortunately, conflict continues to rage.

Zelensky emphasized that Ukraine is currently preparing the European component of its security proposals, which have already been presented and accepted during these negotiations. He noted that the defense of countries facing aggression required urgent responses and expertise. "We have ensured this – Ukrainian expertise has worked, and everyone acknowledges this," the president stated, underscoring the significance of international cooperation in the security domain.

Furthermore, Zelensky revealed that these efforts have resulted in long-term agreements for collaboration, particularly in the context of security. "This is equally necessary in Europe," he pointed out, highlighting the need to intensify cooperation with European nations to bolster Ukraine's defense capabilities.

In his address, the president stressed that the coming weeks will be dedicated to working with European partners, particularly in areas such as joint production, defense modernization, funding defense programs, and coordinating actions in the security sector. This reflects Ukraine's commitment not only to strengthen its defensive capabilities but also to enhance collaboration with international partners in this critically important area.

It is important to recall that earlier, Volodymyr Zelensky had announced preparations for proposals aimed at strengthening the security guarantees document for Ukraine. These initiatives are part of a broader strategy of the country aimed at ensuring stability and security in the face of modern challenges.

Given the current situation in Ukraine and globally, security issues are becoming increasingly pressing. Cooperation with European partners could significantly impact Ukraine's ability to counter external threats and strengthen its international standing.
