Drone Strike in Vysneve, Kyiv Region: Casualties and Damage Reported

In the morning of April 3, the Kyiv region became one of the targets in a combined attack by Russia, which involved a massive assault using Shahed-type drones. As a result of these actions, one person was killed in the Bucha district, and firefighters promptly extinguished the fire caused by the drone strike. Additionally, the roof of a five-story residential building in the village of Kryukivshchyna was damaged. Vysneve, which is part of the Bucha district, became the site of the drone's crash in the yard of a local school, as reported by BBC Ukraine sources.
On the same day, Russia launched a large-scale attack on Ukraine, utilizing strike drones and cruise missiles fired from strategic bombers. The Kyiv region was not the only area under attack; many other regions of Ukraine also faced bombardment. Explosions were reported in Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Kharkiv, Sumy, Poltava, and Zhytomyr regions. These attacks resulted in the deaths of two individuals, highlighting the severity of the situation.
Emergency power outages were implemented in Kyiv and several other regions of Ukraine in response to the aerial threat. Overall, the radio engineering troops of the Ukrainian Air Force recorded 579 air attack means, as reported by the press service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 2:00 PM, Ukraine's air defense managed to shoot down or suppress 541 targets, including 26 missiles and 515 drones of various types. Specifically, 24 Kh-101 cruise missiles, 2 Iskander-K cruise missiles, and 515 enemy UAVs were destroyed.
