Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky reported that Russian troops are intensifying efforts to improve their tactical position in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka agglomeration, following his recent visits to frontline areas.
Russian military forces continue their efforts to enhance their tactical position in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka agglomeration, as stated by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky. This information was shared after his working trips to hot spots along the front, where he had the opportunity to assess the situation on the ground.
On his social media page, the Commander-in-Chief noted that he was working in the area of responsibility of the 19th Corps, which is tasked with defensive operations in the Kostyantynivka-Druzhkivka agglomeration. Syrsky emphasized that Russian occupying forces are attempting to improve their tactical position in this section of the front by combining small infantry group attacks with massive drone strikes.
According to him, for nearly a year, units of the 19th Corps have successfully repelled the enemy's attempts to capture the city of Kostyantynivka, maintaining their positions and inflicting significant losses on the adversary. The Commander-in-Chief also noted that the units demonstrate a high level of adaptability to changes on the battlefield, making proactive and unconventional decisions.
Syrsky highlighted priority areas of work, including targeting the rear logistics of the occupiers, neutralizing enemy infantry at the onset of assaults, and preserving the lives of Ukrainian soldiers amid high-intensity combat. These measures are critically important for maintaining the defensive capabilities of Ukrainian forces in this challenging situation.
Special attention was given by the Commander-in-Chief to analyzing proposals from commanders regarding the urgent needs of their units. He noted that key aspects included enhancing capabilities to counter enemy drones, supplying ammunition, and providing other logistical support. Following his on-site work, several problematic issues raised by commanders were promptly addressed.
Additionally, during his work with the 2nd Corps of the National Guard of Ukraine, known as the "Charter," Syrsky presented honorary badges from the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to soldiers. This gesture underscores the importance of recognizing the contributions of servicemen who risk their lives daily to defend the country from aggression.
