In a significant development for the Poltava community, the executive committee of the city council has approved compensation payments for 37 families whose homes were damaged due to shelling. This announcement was made by Kateryna Yamshykova, the secretary of the Poltava City Council, via her Telegram channel, as reported by the Ukrinform news agency.

According to the decision made by the committee, the total amount of compensation to be disbursed to the affected families is ₴2,263,275. These funds are intended for the restoration of homes that have suffered damage as a result of military actions. It is important to note that these payments are not financed from the local budget of the Poltava community but are sourced from the state budget under the 'eRestoration' program.

The executive committee of the city council ratifies the decisions made by a commission that conducts assessments of damaged and destroyed housing. This process allows for the accurate determination of the extent of the damage, which in turn informs decisions regarding the provision of assistance. The funds that the affected families will receive represent a crucial step in restoring their homes and returning to normal life.

In addition to financial assistance for housing restoration, the Poltava community is also providing urgent support to residents affected by enemy attacks. Specifically, funds are being allocated for the rental of temporary housing for those whose residences have become uninhabitable. This initiative is vital for ensuring the safety and comfort of individuals who find themselves in difficult life circumstances due to military actions.

It is worth recalling that earlier in Poltava, the executive committee also approved aid payments for those affected by Russian shelling. This reflects a systematic approach by local authorities to address the issues arising from the consequences of war and their readiness to support citizens during challenging times.

The Poltava community continues to work towards improving the living conditions of its residents by providing necessary assistance and support. It is essential that everyone affected by the war feels that their problems are not overlooked and that the community is ready to lend a helping hand.
