Third Suspect Arrested in Arson Case of Czech Arms Company in Poland

In a significant development in the ongoing investigation into the arson of a production facility belonging to the Czech arms company LPP Holding, Polish law enforcement officials have arrested a third suspect. This information was revealed by Jacek Dobziński, the spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services in the Republic of Poland, through a post on the social media platform X, as reported by the Ukrinform news agency.

Dobziński clarified that the District Court in Warsaw has ruled to impose a preventive measure in the form of temporary detention for the arrested individual, which will last for three months. He also noted that the case is evolving, indicating active investigative efforts and the possibility of further arrests.

It is important to recall that the arson incident at the production facility occurred on March 20 in the city of Pardubice. This event raised concerns among law enforcement agencies, prompting an investigation based on materials collected by the Internal Security Agency of Poland (ABW). The Mazovian Department of the National Prosecutor's Office of Poland has taken responsibility for leading the investigation into this matter.

The fire, which took place in an industrial park near Pardubice, is being examined by law enforcement officials from four different angles, reflecting the complexity of the case and the potential for various motives behind the arson. Previously, suspects had already been detained, including citizens of the Czech Republic and the United States, who were apprehended in the territories of the Czech Republic and Slovakia.

Notably, an anti-Israel group has claimed responsibility for the arson, further complicating the situation and highlighting the international context of this case. Early in April, it was revealed that two of the detained individuals were arrested in Poland as part of the investigation into the arson of the LPP Holding warehouse, attracting even more attention to the case.

Additionally, on Saturday, April 4, Czech investigators charged another individual who was detained in Bulgaria in connection with the arson of the LPP Holding facility in Pardubice. This indicates that the investigation has an international dimension and spans multiple countries.

The circumstances surrounding the arson of the LPP Holding arms company have sparked outrage among the public and experts, who are concerned about the potential implications for security in the region. Given that LPP Holding is involved in the production of drones for Ukraine, this incident could have serious consequences for the country's defense capabilities.
