Police Urges Ukrainians to Prioritize Safety and Avoid Potential Provocations This Easter

As Ukraine continues to grapple with the ongoing war, Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department, has issued a critical appeal to citizens regarding their safety during the upcoming Easter celebrations.

In the context of the ongoing war in Ukraine, Oleksiy Biloshytskyi, the First Deputy Head of the Patrol Police Department, has addressed the public with an important call to action. In a message shared on Telegram, which was published by the Ukrinform news agency, he emphasized the need for individuals to prioritize their safety and that of their loved ones during the Easter celebrations.

“Another Easter is approaching amidst the war. The enemy is treacherous and cynical, so there are high risks of massive missile attacks and various provocations. Take care of your own safety and the safety of your relatives. Consider attending services online. Avoid potential provocations or incitements,” Biloshytskyi stated in his appeal.

This call is particularly relevant as security risks can significantly increase during festive days when people typically gather in churches and celebrate together. Biloshytskyi also highlighted the importance of adhering to behavior protocols during air raid alerts, urging Ukrainians to seek shelter in the event of an alarm.

Furthermore, he urged citizens to remain vigilant regarding suspicious items and individuals, as well as dubious online offers that may promise easy money. In the event of encountering such situations, Biloshytskyi recommends reporting them immediately to the police or calling the emergency line 112.

It is noteworthy that on Easter Sunday, the police in Ukraine may conduct selective checks to prevent potential provocations. This is part of law enforcement's efforts to ensure public safety during festive events.

Thus, Ukrainians must be particularly attentive and cautious during the Easter celebrations, considering the threats posed by the aggressor. It is essential to remember that safety is a priority, and following police recommendations can help avoid dangerous situations.
