A tragic incident occurred in Nikopol on the morning of October 24, 2023, when Russian forces targeted a minibus approaching a stop, resulting in three fatalities and twelve injuries.

On the morning of October 24, 2023, a horrific incident unfolded in Nikopol, Ukraine, when Russian military forces struck a minibus that was nearing a stop. According to Oleksandr Hanža, the head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration, the attack claimed the lives of three individuals and left twelve others injured. This information was shared in his Telegram message, which was reported by Ukrinform.

Hanža pointed out that the strike was carried out using an FPV drone, emphasizing that this was not an accident but a deliberate act of terror against civilians. He underscored that at the time of the attack, the minibus was filled with people simply going about their daily lives. "This is a conscious act of terror against civilians. Against people who were just going about their business," he added in his message.

Ukrainian Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko also commented on this tragedy, noting that rescuers have been on the scene from the very first moments. He reported that seven individuals trapped as a result of the attack were successfully rescued. "A brutal strike against civilian public transport. Three people have died, and twelve have been injured. Together with medical personnel, we managed to unblock and rescue seven individuals," he wrote on Telegram.

Klymenko further emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs is doing everything possible to save everyone in need of assistance. He highlighted the targeted strikes by Russia against civilians as part of their tactical approach. "This is not an accident - this is their tactic: deliberate strikes against peaceful people," the minister noted.

It is important to mention that this is not the first instance where civilians have fallen victim to Russian attacks. Earlier reports indicated that in an attack in the Pokrovsk community of the Synelnykove district, an eleven-year-old boy was killed. Additionally, women aged 31 and 61, as well as a 33-year-old man, were hospitalized in moderate condition.

This news has sparked outrage and anger among Ukrainians, who are demanding accountability for those responsible. Social media platforms are buzzing with discussions surrounding this tragedy, with many expressing condolences to the families of the deceased and injured.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine has called on the international community to pay attention to these crimes against civilians being committed during the war. "Every such incident is documented by investigators, and we will do everything possible to ensure that the guilty are punished," Klymenko assured.
