In Nikopol, a city located in the Dnipropetrovsk region of Ukraine, ten individuals, including children, have been injured due to shelling by Russian forces. This was reported by the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) on their Telegram channel.

Among the injured are a one-and-a-half-year-old girl and a 17-year-old boy. Rescuers who arrived at the scene promptly evacuated the victims from the danger zone and transported them to a hospital for medical assistance. The shelling caused damage not only to residential buildings but also to the city's infrastructure, including apartment buildings, private homes, a pharmacy, and several vehicles.

According to the SES, the situation in the region remains tense. In the Synelnykivskyi district, within the Pokrov community, instances of destruction to private homes have also been recorded. Additionally, in the Kryvorizhskyi district, two minibuses were damaged as a result of the shelling.

This incident is yet another confirmation of the alarming situation that has developed in Ukraine due to Russia's military aggression. Over the past few months, shelling of settlements located near the front line has become a common occurrence, leading to numerous casualties among the civilian population.

In light of these events, local authorities are urging citizens to exercise caution and adhere to safety measures. They also emphasize the importance of supporting those affected who have lost their homes and property due to the shelling.

The situation in Nikopol and surrounding areas continues to be monitored by rescuers and law enforcement agencies, who are working to mitigate the aftermath of the shelling and provide assistance to the victims. However, given the ongoing threats, residents are advised to remain in safe locations and avoid being in open areas.

This case underscores the seriousness of the situation in Ukraine, where military actions continue to inflict damage not only on infrastructure but also on the lives of innocent civilians. During the conflict, children are particularly vulnerable, suffering from the consequences of war that leave deep scars in their lives.
