New Bus Route Launched in Lviv: Residents Can Now Commute to Work Faster
On October 6, 2023, Lviv inaugurated a new bus route connecting the city center with remote districts, aimed at enhancing the commuting experience for residents.
On October 6, 2023, Lviv celebrated the official launch of a new bus route that connects the central part of the city with its more distant neighborhoods. This route, numbered 45, is set to become a vital component of the city's transportation infrastructure, allowing residents to commute to work more quickly and conveniently.
The new Route 45 will pass through key points in the city, including significant stops such as Rynok Square, Horydotska Street, and the Sykhiv district. According to Oleg Zabarilo, the head of the Transport and Communications Department of the Lviv City Council, the launch of this route was made possible by numerous requests from residents who expressed the need for improved transportation links.
“We always listen to the needs of our citizens. The launch of the new Route 45 is a response to the numerous requests from Lviv residents who want to have the ability to commute to work quickly and comfortably,” Oleg Zabarilo stated during the inauguration.
Additionally, the new route allows for convenient transfers to other forms of transportation, enabling residents to plan their journeys more easily. Buses will operate at 15-minute intervals during peak hours, significantly reducing waiting times at stops.
It is worth noting that Route 45 is not the first step taken by the Lviv City Council to improve the transportation system. Several new routes have already been launched, and existing ones have been modernized. The city is actively working on updating its bus fleet to ensure comfortable conditions for passengers.
“We understand that the transportation system is one of the key elements of city life. Therefore, we are constantly working on its improvement,” Oleg Zabarilo added.
The new Route 45 has already received positive feedback from residents. Many have noted that commuting to work has become much easier with its launch, especially for those living in remote areas. “This is really a significant advantage for us. Now I can get to the office faster and not spend so much time on the road,” shared one passenger's impressions.
The Lviv City Council plans to continue enhancing the transportation infrastructure, including considering the launch of new routes and the modernization of existing ones. City authorities assure that they will keep working to provide comfortable conditions for all residents of Lviv.
