In Luhansk, Russia Intensifies Forced Mobilization
Reports from the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform indicate that the Luhansk Regional State Administration has announced a significant increase in forced mobilization efforts in Luhansk, coinciding with a noticeable rise in patrols in public areas.
According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, the Luhansk Regional State Administration has released information about the intensification of forced mobilization in Luhansk. This development comes at the beginning of April, and local residents have observed a significant increase in the number of patrols in public spaces.
Specifically, at the bus station, there are blockades in several areas, complicating the movement of people. Drivers, passengers, and pedestrians are subjected to thorough checks, with special attention paid to men under the age of 30. According to the administration, Russian military officials plan to recruit this demographic for participation in so-called 'meat assaults,' which has raised serious concerns among local residents.
Furthermore, the regional administration notes that residents of the self-proclaimed 'LPR' are extremely dissatisfied with the Russian banking system. Reports indicate that the number of complaints against banking institutions has surged by 75.5% compared to 2024. Most complaints pertain to the unjustified blocking of bank cards, which has sparked outrage among the populace. Additionally, clients express dissatisfaction with the quality of service and the limited range of services offered.
Moreover, as previously reported, Russians have sold the illegal auction of the Bobrykivske gold deposit in Luhansk for $9.7 million. This fact highlights not only the economic issues in the region but also legal violations, further raising concerns among local residents.
In the context of intensified mobilization and dissatisfaction with the banking system, the residents of Luhansk are feeling increasing pressure from the occupying authorities. Many individuals are attempting to leave the region; however, this has become increasingly difficult due to checks and control by Russian military forces.
