The upcoming Easter Egg Festival in Kyiv, scheduled for April 8, is poised to be a colorful and engaging event for both locals and tourists. Taking place at 12:30 PM in front of the Solomianskyi District State Administration, located at 41 Povitryanykh Syl Avenue, the festival aims to create a welcoming environment for creativity and community support, particularly for children from different parts of Ukraine.
The festival will feature an exhibition of giant Easter eggs, each adorned with intricate patterns and designs representing various regions of Ukraine. This exhibition presents a unique opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in traditional Ukrainian symbols and culture, fostering a deeper appreciation for the nation’s artistic heritage. Additionally, a flash mob in the shape of an Easter egg is planned, inviting participants to engage in a collective creative experience.
Children will have the chance to participate in a sidewalk drawing competition titled “My Easter Egg — My Dream,” allowing them to express their ideas and imagination through art. For those interested in learning more about Easter traditions, workshops will be organized where participants can gain hands-on experience in creating a variety of Easter crafts.
Particular emphasis is being placed on supporting children who have relocated to Kyiv with their families due to the ongoing war. Students from Kyiv schools, as well as children from other regions, will be able to join the festivities, highlighting the importance of unity and support during challenging times.
Among the expected guests at the festival is Halyna Skypalska, the Executive Director of the Ukrainian Public Health Foundation and the Director of HealthRight International’s Ukraine office. The event will also attract representatives from television and the music industry, promising to add even more vibrant moments to the occasion. The festival will be hosted by Andrii Koval’skyi, a well-known presenter from ICTV, ensuring a professional and engaging program.
The Easter Egg Festival is part of a broader cultural initiative taking place in Kyiv from April 6 to April 10. During this period, the city has scheduled concerts, exhibitions, theatrical performances, and other Easter-related activities, creating a rich cultural agenda for the capital. These events not only promote cultural development but also emphasize the importance of supporting national traditions and bringing people together in tough times.
