Emergency Power Outages Introduced in Kyiv and Surrounding Areas

In the capital of Ukraine, Kyiv, as well as in the Kyiv region, emergency power outages have been introduced. This information was confirmed by Serhiy Kovalenko, the general director of the Yasno company, on his official Facebook page. The outages have become necessary due to an emergency situation arising from military actions.

Earlier on Friday, the Telegram channel 'Ukrenergo' also reported the introduction of emergency outages in some regions of Ukraine. According to their data, a massive missile and drone attack has led to significant damage to the energy infrastructure, forcing energy workers to take urgent measures to ensure the stability of the energy system.

The message stated that 'as a result of the massive missile and drone attack – emergency power outages have been implemented in several regions of Ukraine.' This indicates the seriousness of the situation the country is facing amid ongoing warfare. Energy companies are working to stabilize the system; however, outages may continue until the air raid alert has ended and normal operations of the energy networks have been restored.
