Traffic Restrictions on the Bridge over Desenka in Kyiv Until Autumn
The Kyiv City State Administration has announced planned traffic restrictions on the bridge over the Desenka River due to upcoming repair works aimed at restoring the structure's technical condition and ensuring its safe operation.
The Kyiv City State Administration, referencing the municipal enterprise 'Kyivavtoshlyakhmist,' has reported that there will be traffic restrictions on the bridge over the Desenka River. These restrictions are necessary to carry out repair works that aim to restore the technical condition of the structure and ensure its continued safe operation.
The repair works, which are set to commence shortly, will involve the restoration of the load-bearing structures of the bridge's transition spans. According to information provided by the Kyiv City State Administration, during the execution of these works, traffic will be limited in the direction from the right bank to the left bank of the Dnipro River. Meanwhile, traffic will be organized on the opposite side of the bridge, where two lanes in each direction from the left bank to the right bank are planned to be maintained.
Furthermore, the municipal enterprise 'Kyivavtoshlyakhmist' noted that specialists regularly perform necessary repair works to ensure the safe operation of the bridge. Specifically, between 2022 and 2025, comprehensive repairs of the roadway in the direction from the left bank to the right bank were carried out, during which the road surface was completely restored, and emergency structures of the transition spans were replaced.
It is also worth mentioning that, in parallel with these works, partial repairs of the roadway in the direction from the right bank to the left bank were conducted. Due to these repair works, the municipal enterprise apologizes for any temporary inconveniences for drivers and requests that they consider the restrictions when planning their routes. Drivers are advised to be attentive, adhere to traffic rules, and pay attention to temporary traffic signs.
Recall that earlier, Ukrinform reported on the extension of traffic restrictions on the European Union Avenue in Kyiv until December 2026. These measures are also related to ongoing repair works aimed at improving the capital's road infrastructure.
The Kyiv City State Administration urges drivers to show patience and understanding during the repair works, as they are necessary to ensure the safety and comfort of all road users. All changes in traffic organization will be communicated to the public in a timely manner through official information channels.
