One Resilience Point Operates in Kostyantynivka Community Amid Shelling
Despite ongoing shelling, the Kostyantynivka community in Donetsk region continues to operate a single resilience point, as confirmed by local military administration head Serhiy Horbunov.
On April 7, Serhiy Horbunov, the head of the Kostyantynivka City Military Administration, shared vital information on his Facebook page, revealing that, despite the continuous shelling, a single resilience point is operational within the Kostyantynivka community. This announcement underscores the community's determination and resilience in the face of war, especially considering that, as of October 2025, the community previously had three such points functioning.
Horbunov emphasized the dire situation in the region, noting that the Kostyantynivka community is among those territorial communities severely affected by active hostilities. He reported significant destruction to the critical and residential infrastructure of the city and surrounding villages. However, due to the extremely dangerous circumstances, it is currently impossible to conduct an assessment of the locations or document the number of shelling incidents and damages.
Amid these challenges, the community boasts two wells for water collection, one of which provides purified water through reverse osmosis technology. This is a crucial element for the survival of residents, as centralized water, gas, and electricity supplies have long been absent in the city. Repair works in these sectors are impossible due to the constant shelling from the Russian Federation, which poses a threat to the lives of repair workers.
Additionally, Serhiy Horbunov announced that a prolonged curfew is in effect across the entire Kostyantynivka community, along with a special blackout regime that lasts from 3:00 PM to 11:00 AM the following day. This decision was made to ensure the safety of residents in these extremely hazardous conditions.
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as of 4:00 PM on April 7, Russian invaders launched twenty attacks in the Kostyantynivka direction, particularly near Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiyivka, Illinivka, Stepaniivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka. These attacks highlight the tense situation in the region, where each day presents a challenge for local residents.
In these circumstances, it is essential to maintain communication with the population and keep them informed about the situation in the community. Residents are encouraged to join the official community channels on social media platforms such as Telegram, Instagram, and YouTube to stay updated on the latest news and receive necessary support.
