Medical Worker Killed in Kherson Due to Enemy Shelling

On Saturday, a medical worker lost her life during enemy artillery shelling in Kherson, a tragic event highlighted by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin.

On Saturday, during an enemy artillery attack in Kherson, a medical worker was killed. This tragic news was announced by the head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Prokudin, who is actively informing the public about the consequences of the aggression by Russian troops.

According to Prokudin's report, the shelling occurred in the Ship District of the city, where Russian forces killed a 55-year-old nurse. This horrific event took place at the moment when the woman was fulfilling her professional duties, providing medical assistance to those in need.

The head of the Regional Military Administration noted that the shelling of a public transport stop occurred at 11:00 AM on Saturday, indicating the deliberate targeting of civilians. As a result of this dreadful incident, two women, aged 41 and 48, were also injured, sustaining serious wounds.

According to Prokudin, the injured women were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds, concussions, as well as explosive and closed head injuries. Their condition is assessed as moderate, raising serious concerns among medical staff and relatives.

This tragic case once again underscores the danger faced by medical workers in Ukraine during the war. They risk their lives providing assistance to victims of aggression and become targets for shelling, which is absolutely unacceptable.

It is worth noting that shelling of civilian objects, including medical facilities and public transport stops, constitutes a violation of international humanitarian law. Such actions provoke outrage within Ukrainian society and the international community, which condemns Russia's aggression against Ukraine.

Let us remind you that Kherson, like many other cities in Ukraine, is subjected to constant attacks by Russian troops. Local residents live in fear, as each day may bring new casualties and destruction. However, despite all the hardships, Ukrainians continue to fight for their freedom and independence, while medical workers remain on the front lines, saving lives even under the most challenging conditions.

This incident serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting medical workers who risk their lives daily to save others. Society must unite to protect those who stand on the front lines in the fight for the lives and health of people.
