In Kharkiv, on April 6, police arrested a man who attacked a serviceman from the Territorial Center for Recruitment and Social Support (TCK and SP) during mobilization notification activities. This information was confirmed by the press service of the Kharkiv regional police, noting that the incident occurred while a mobile group from the Industrial United District TCK and SP was conducting its operations.
According to reports, during a routine check of military registration documents, an unidentified man attempted to evade the inspection and began to flee. In the course of his escape, he exhibited aggressive behavior: he threw two training grenades towards the serviceman, fired two shots from a pneumatic pistol, and inflicted a knife wound to the abdomen of one of the military personnel. Following this violent outburst, the assailant fled the scene.
The police responded swiftly to the incident, managing to identify the attacker within three hours. He was found to be a 55-year-old man, who was arrested under Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. It is noted that investigators have opened a criminal case under part three of Article 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which addresses threats or violence against a public official or citizen performing a public duty. The sanctions for this article stipulate imprisonment for a term of five to twelve years.
Additionally, earlier at the Kharkiv regional TCK and SP, another incident was reported where a civilian attacked servicemen during mobilization notification activities, resulting in one of them sustaining a knife wound. The injured individual was urgently transported to the hospital, where he is receiving necessary medical assistance.
This incident is not isolated. On April 4, the Vinnytsia regional TCK and SP also reported an attack that left two servicemen with knife wounds. The incident occurred during mobilization activities when the servicemen attempted to check the documents of a man who suddenly drew a knife and inflicted several injuries on them. Both victims required hospitalization.
These events raise significant concern within society, as they indicate a rising tide of aggression and danger faced by military personnel while fulfilling their duties. Authorities are urging citizens to cooperate with law enforcement agencies and to adhere to legality during mobilization activities.
