The incident was reported by Oleg Synehubov, the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, who emphasized the seriousness of the situation. According to him, the child was injured when the drone struck a residential area. This is not the first time that civilians, particularly children, have fallen victim to direct attacks, which has sparked outrage and concern within the community.
Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also confirmed the information regarding the child's injuries, stating that the attack took place in the same area where numerous shelling incidents had previously been recorded. 'This is a horrifying situation when children become targets in this war. We must do everything possible to protect our citizens,' Terekhov said.
On April 3, the mayor reported that Russian aggressors had delivered the most powerful strike on Kharkiv since the beginning of the year, utilizing ballistic missiles and drones. He noted that there were 37 strikes recorded at 18 different locations, indicating an escalation of violence in the region.
Oleg Synehubov also mentioned that as a result of these attacks, seven people were injured, three of whom were in serious condition. Unfortunately, two of the injured individuals died in the hospital, further underscoring the tragic nature of the situation. 'We are all in a state of shock at what is happening. These are not just numbers; these are lives of people who have become victims of a senseless war,' he added.
