Drone Strikes High-Rise Building in Kharkiv, Several Injured

A distressing incident occurred in Kharkiv when an enemy drone struck a residential high-rise, raising concerns among local residents. The head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synehubov, reported the event via his Telegram channel, as covered by the information agency Ukrinform.

Synehubov noted that as a result of the drone strike, three individuals sustained injuries. Specifically, two women, aged 56 and 61, experienced acute stress reactions. Currently, information regarding the third injured person is being clarified. Medical personnel are actively providing all necessary assistance to the victims to ensure their swift recovery.

Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov also commented on the situation, indicating that the drone hit the top floor of the high-rise building. He emphasized that, fortunately, no fire broke out; however, damaged vehicles were reported in the courtyard of the building, indicating the force of the impact. The mayor published a video capturing the moment the drone struck the building, further underscoring the seriousness of the situation.

This incident is not an isolated case. Just a few days prior, on April 6, a Russian drone struck near a public transport stop in the Kyiv district of Kharkiv, resulting in injuries to a bus driver. Additionally, on the same morning, a drone hit the Osnovyansky district of the city, causing a 15-year-old child to suffer an acute stress reaction. These events highlight the ongoing threat that enemy drones pose to the civilian population.

The authorities in Kharkiv are urging residents to remain cautious and vigilant, as the situation remains tense. They also emphasize the importance of adhering to safety measures and being prepared for potential emergencies. During this challenging time, it is crucial to unite efforts to ensure the safety of all citizens.
