Fire Erupts at Oil Terminal in Feodosia Following Ukrainian Strikes - Satellite Images

A fire has broken out at an oil terminal in Feodosia, under Russian occupation, following recent strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This incident highlights the ongoing military actions in response to Russian aggression in the region.

In Feodosia, which remains under Russian occupation, a fire has erupted at the oil terminal following new strikes from the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to reports from Ukrinform, this information was provided by Radio Free Europe.

According to the report, at least two tanks are ablaze at the key oil base known as the 'Marine Oil Terminal.' These tanks had survived previous attacks by Ukrainian Defense Forces that occurred in October 2025. Satellite images obtained from Planet Labs, dated April 8, clearly show flames and plumes of smoke rising from the terminal area.

As of noon, the large-scale fire at the oil base continues to burn, indicating the severity of the situation. This event serves as further evidence of the active operations by Ukrainian military forces in response to Russian aggression in the region.

Earlier reports from Ukrinform noted that pilots from the 9th Battalion 'Kairós,' part of the 414th Separate Brigade 'Birds of Madyar,' successfully executed an operation that struck the 'Marine Oil Terminal.' This terminal plays a crucial role in supplying Russian troops with fuel and lubricants, and its destruction could significantly complicate the logistics of Russian military operations in Crimea.

The fire at the oil terminal in Feodosia is part of a broader strategy by Ukrainian forces aimed at dismantling Russian military infrastructure and weakening the aggressor. It is noteworthy that such strikes on critical enemy infrastructure have become a regular practice recently.

This situation also underscores the importance of satellite technologies, which provide timely information about events in occupied territories. Satellite imagery has become an essential tool for journalists and analysts monitoring the developments of the conflict in Ukraine.

It is important to remember that Feodosia, like other cities in Crimea, has been under Russian control since 2014 when the peninsula was annexed. However, Ukrainian forces continue to fight for the restoration of control over these territories, employing various measures to target military objects and infrastructure that supports Russian aggression.

In light of these events, it is crucial to monitor the ongoing developments in the region, as the consequences of such attacks could have far-reaching implications for both sides of the conflict.
