New Drone Manufacturing Plant to Be Built in the Czech Republic
Primoco UAV, a prominent player in the drone industry, has announced plans to construct a new manufacturing facility in the Czech Republic, focusing on drone production. The project is set to begin preparations in April 2024, with construction scheduled for 2028.
According to reports from Ukrinform, Primoco UAV, a company renowned in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles, has declared its intention to build a new factory in the Czech Republic that will specialize in the production of drones. This information was released by Radio Prague International. Preparations for the project are set to commence in April 2024, with the actual construction of the new facility planned for 2028.
The CEO of Primoco, Ladislav Semetkovsky, emphasized that after acquiring the Pisek-Krashovice airport in 2019, the company has positioned itself as a significant player in the global drone market. He noted that the new plant in Pisek will not only meet the growing demands of the company but will also serve as an example of a modern manufacturing enterprise of the 21st century, thanks to its architectural quality.
Primoco UAV specializes in the design and production of drones that are utilized for a variety of civil and military tasks. These drones are capable of flying in fully autonomous mode, following pre-programmed flight plans, which makes them extremely effective in many areas.
Among the company’s products are the Primoco One 150 drones, which have the capability to take off and land automatically. These unmanned aerial vehicles can remain airborne for up to 15 hours and feature an extended flight range, making them ideal for various missions. They are used for inspecting the integrity of pipelines and distribution networks in the energy sector, ensuring border and coastal security, monitoring fires, as well as in search and rescue operations.
This move by Primoco UAV reflects the growing interest in drone technologies, which are becoming increasingly popular in today’s world. The company aims not only to expand its production capabilities but also to strengthen its position in the international market.
Additionally, it is worth noting that in November of this year, the Ukrainian Defense Industry and the Czech company Air Team signed an agreement for the joint development of air target interceptor technology. This highlights the active collaboration between Ukraine and the Czech Republic in defense technologies, which could foster innovation in this field.
