Diesel and Gas Prices Surge Again by 1-3 UAH/L and 1-1.4 UAH/L Respectively
On March 30, diesel fuel prices in Ukraine increased by 1-3 UAH per liter, while gas prices rose by 1-1.4 UAH per liter, according to the monitoring data from the online portal 'EnergoReforma'.
On Thursday, March 30, diesel fuel prices in Ukraine saw an increase of 1-3 UAH per liter, while the cost of gas rose by 1-1.4 UAH per liter. These figures were reported by the monitoring service of the online portal 'EnergoReforma', which tracks changes in the fuel market.
On Wednesday, March 29, PJSC 'Ukrnafta' raised its diesel prices by 2 UAH per liter and gas prices by 1 UAH per liter. Following this move, the OKKO network also adjusted its prices. On the same day, four other networks that were surveyed also increased their prices at their fuel stations.
Specifically, the Parallel network added 1 UAH per liter for both diesel and premium diesel (DP+), while WOG and Socar raised their prices by 2 UAH per liter. The most significant increase was recorded at the UPG network, where the price of diesel surged by 3 UAH per liter.
Regarding gas prices, they increased by 1 UAH per liter at both WOG and Socar, by 1 UAH per liter at Parallel, and by 1.4 UAH per liter at UPG. Meanwhile, gasoline prices remained stable across all networks.
Earlier reports indicated that fuel prices in Ukraine remained relatively stable on Monday and Tuesday. Notably, the 'Ukrnafta' network reverted the price of A-95+ to its weekday rate after a decrease of 3 UAH per liter over the weekend.
Additionally, the Socar network raised its diesel price by 1 UAH per liter, aligning it with the rates set by WOG and OKKO, which had been established on Friday, March 27. At that time, the premium diesel (DP+) crossed the threshold of 90 UAH per liter, reaching 90.99 UAH per liter.
On Monday, March 27, Socar increased its gas price by 2 UAH per liter, while UPG raised the price of this energy carrier by 1.1 UAH per liter. On Wednesday, March 29, 'Ukrnafta' and OKKO again raised their diesel prices by 2 UAH per liter and gas prices by 1 UAH per liter.
In a comment to 'EnergoReforma', representatives of the Parallel network stated that the decision by state-owned 'Ukrnafta' to raise prices confirms the existing trend of rising fuel prices globally, which is an objective reality. They also indicated that the conditions for further price increases for all types of fuel remain relevant.
Moreover, it was noted that liquefied gas is also reacting to global factors and is becoming more expensive due to a sharp rise in prices in international markets, particularly as a result of the war in Iran.
At the same time, Sergey Kuyun, director of the A-95 consulting group, emphasized in a comment to the online portal that there is no expected fuel shortage, particularly of diesel, in Ukraine for April, despite some problematic issues with imports. He noted that all key players have successfully contracted for April. However, he also pointed out that prices for petroleum products are likely to continue rising due to the increasing cost of oil, although the situation remains very dynamic and can change rapidly.
