IDF Launches Largest Wave of Strikes on Lebanon Since War Began - 100 Strikes in 10 Minutes
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF), known as Tzahal, executed the largest attack on Lebanon since the onset of military operations, delivering over 100 strikes targeting sites linked to the terrorist organization Hezbollah.
According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), commonly referred to as Tzahal, have carried out the most extensive attack on Lebanon since the beginning of hostilities, launching more than 100 strikes against targets associated with the terrorist organization Hezbollah. This significant operation took place in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, as well as in southern regions of the country, and lasted only 10 minutes.
Military sources from Tzahal confirmed that this was the largest strike against Hezbollah's infrastructure since the commencement of the operation dubbed 'Roaring Lion' (known in American media as 'Epic Fury'). The Israel Defense Forces emphasized that this operation had been meticulously planned over several weeks, indicating Israel's serious intentions in combating Hezbollah.
Among the targets of the strikes was the headquarters of Hezbollah. It is important to note that most of the affected sites were located in densely populated areas, raising concerns over potential casualties among the civilian population. However, representatives of Tzahal highlighted that measures were taken to minimize harm to civilians. Specifically, the army issued evacuation orders for certain areas of Beirut and another Lebanese city, Tyre, to ensure the safety of civilians.
Previously, the United States, Israel, and Iran had reached an agreement for a two-week mutual ceasefire and the reopening of commercial shipping through the Strait of Hormuz. However, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu emphasized that this ceasefire does not extend to Lebanon, despite claims from Pakistani mediators to the contrary. This situation underscores the complexity of the conflict in the region and the unpredictability of future developments.
Military actions between Israel and Hezbollah have been ongoing for an extended period, and the recent strikes by Tzahal indicate an escalation of the conflict. In light of the rising tensions in the region, it is crucial to monitor the subsequent actions of both parties, as well as the international community's response to these events.
