Ongoing Work on Coordinating Sibiga's Visit to China – Ministry of Foreign Affairs

During a briefing in Kyiv on Wednesday, spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Georgiy Tikhiy, announced that Ukraine and China are actively working to coordinate the timing of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga's visit to China. According to Tikhiy, this visit, when it occurs, is expected to be an important element in maintaining dialogue between Ukraine and China.

Tikhiy noted that the agenda for the visit includes discussions on several key issues, among which is a more active involvement of China in international efforts to halt the military aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine. Additionally, plans are in place to enhance practical cooperation between the two countries in trade, economic, and humanitarian spheres.

"However, more details and announcements regarding specific dates will be communicated later," Tikhiy added, emphasizing the importance of this visit for bilateral relations.

It is worth recalling that earlier, in February, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga met with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference. During this meeting, Sibiga highlighted that he had a substantive and productive conversation with Wang Yi. He also extended an invitation to the Chinese minister to visit Ukraine and thanked him for the invitation to visit China.

The spokesperson for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs confirmed that there has been an exchange of invitations for visits between the heads of the foreign ministries of Ukraine and China, and the dates for these visits will be coordinated in the future. This indicates that both sides are interested in developing bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various fields.

Thus, Sibiga's visit to China could become a significant step in strengthening Ukrainian-Chinese relations, especially in the context of the current international situation, which requires countries to take active measures to ensure stability and peace in the region.
