In a tragic incident on the night of October 23, Odesa became the target of hostile attacks, resulting in the deaths of three civilians, including a young child. This was reported by Serhiy Lysak, the head of the City Military Administration, via his Telegram channel, providing updated information by 7:00 AM.

Lysak expressed his heartfelt condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased, noting that among the victims was a small child. He also reported that ten people were injured as a result of the attack. Two of them are in serious condition and have been hospitalized: one patient is in the neurosurgery department, while the other is in the intensive care unit specializing in burn treatment. Additionally, eight other victims have moderate injuries, including a 2-year-old child and two teenagers aged 17 and 18. All the injured are receiving necessary medical assistance.

According to Lysak, the enemy's attack caused significant destruction in the Primorsky district of Odesa. Specifically, a residential high-rise complex and seven private houses were affected. In the Kyiv district, one high-rise building, five private homes, a private preschool, a store, and 27 vehicles also sustained damage. These figures illustrate the extensive destruction inflicted by Russian military forces during their attacks on Ukrainian cities.

This nighttime attack is part of Russia's ongoing aggression against Ukraine, which has persisted for over a year and a half. Despite numerous attempts by the international community to halt the conflict and secure peace, the situation remains tense, and civilians continue to suffer from the consequences of military actions. The authorities in Odesa and local services are continuing to work on providing assistance to the victims and restoring the damaged facilities.

In response to these attacks, Ukrainian military forces continue to implement defensive measures, striving to protect civilians and preserve the infrastructure of cities. However, despite their efforts, Russian shelling continues to cause damage and take lives. The situation in Odesa remains complex, and local residents are still in a state of heightened alert.

This tragedy further underscores the necessity for international support for Ukraine in its struggle for independence and the protection of its citizens. Authorities are urging all those concerned about the situation in Ukraine to support the country during this difficult time, as every contribution can be a significant step towards restoring peace and stability in the region.
