Trump Issues New Deadline for Iran to Unblock Strait of Hormuz

President Donald Trump has announced a new deadline for Iran to unblock the Strait of Hormuz, threatening military action if his demands are not met.

President of the United States Donald Trump has declared a new deadline by which Iran must unblock the strategically vital Strait of Hormuz. In a statement posted on the social media platform Truth Social, Trump threatened to bomb civilian power plants and bridges in Iran if the country does not comply with his demands by Tuesday.

"Tuesday will be Power Plant Day and Bridge Day, all in one, in Iran. Nothing like this will happen!!! Open that damn strait," Trump wrote, emphasizing his determination in this matter.

Furthermore, he added that "if they do not reach an agreement quickly, I am considering blowing everything up and seizing the oil." These remarks indicate an escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran, which have been ongoing for an extended period.

Interestingly, Trump has previously issued similar threats regarding the bombing of Iranian power plants, but in the past, he has often postponed or altered deadlines after announcing progress in negotiations with Iranian leaders. This raises questions about the seriousness of his intentions and the actual possibilities for achieving peace in the region.

It is worth recalling that on February 28 of this year, the United States and Israel conducted joint strikes against Iranian regime targets. In response to these actions, Iran attacked American bases located in Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Bahrain, and Jordan. These events underscore the growing tension in relations between Iran and the United States, as well as the potential for further escalation of conflict.

Previously, Trump also threatened Iran with "hell" if the country did not unblock the Strait of Hormuz within 48 hours. This ultimatum was sharply rejected by Iranian authorities, who stated that they would not succumb to pressure from the United States. Iranian officials emphasized that they are prepared to defend their national interests and sovereignty, regardless of Trump's threats.

This situation raises concerns not only in the region but also on an international level, as the Strait of Hormuz is a strategically important waterway for oil transportation. Blocking this strait could lead to serious economic consequences for many countries that rely on Iranian oil. Thus, the global community is closely monitoring the developments and potential implications for the global economy.
