Former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has shared his thoughts on Oleksandr Usyk's recent statement expressing a desire to face him in a farewell match. Fury, known as the 'Gypsy King,' indicated that he anticipated Usyk would want to have a trilogy with him.

Former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury has expressed his views regarding the statement made by Oleksandr Usyk, the holder of the WBA, WBC, and IBF titles, who has shown a desire to fight him in what he has termed his farewell bout. Fury, famously known as the 'Gypsy King,' noted that he had predicted that the Ukrainian would want to engage in a trilogy with him.

In an interview, Fury remarked, "People will call me Nostradamus, won't they? I definitely saw this coming. What can I say? He can go f*** himself. That's what I'll say." This bold statement underscores Fury's confidence and his characteristic brashness, which has become a hallmark of his public persona.

Fury also commented on Usyk's training sessions with Anthony Joshua, describing it as "incredible." He extended his best wishes to them, should their collaboration prove fruitful. "Everyone can work with whoever they want. Everyone has the right to their own opinion about who they train with," he added, showcasing a level of respect for Usyk's choices in his boxing career.

It is worth noting that on May 18, 2024, Oleksandr Usyk achieved a significant victory over Tyson Fury by a split decision, becoming the first undisputed heavyweight champion in history. This victory was monumental for the Ukrainian boxer, as it allowed him to unify all titles in the heavyweight division, marking a high point in his career.

In December of the same year, Fury faced another defeat, this time by unanimous decision in a rematch against Usyk. Following this loss, he announced his retirement from boxing. However, just a year later, he revealed his intention to return to the ring, a decision that sparked considerable interest among boxing fans.

Currently, Tyson Fury is preparing for his upcoming fight against Arslanbek Makhmudov, scheduled for April 11. This will mark Fury's first bout after suffering two defeats to Usyk in 2024. Many fans and experts are anticipating that this fight could serve as a crucial step in Fury's career, especially in light of his previous results.

Previously, the British boxer had also expressed a desire to face a star boxer, whom he wishes to meet after his bout with the Russian fighter, but he has yet to disclose any details regarding this potential matchup.
