Syrskyi: Russian Military Losses Have Exceeded Reinforcements for Months

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, revealed alarming statistics regarding Russian military losses in Ukraine during a phone call with NATO's Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, General Alexus Grinkevich.

In a recent conversation, Oleksandr Syrskyi highlighted that for several months, the losses of Russian troops in Ukraine have surpassed the reinforcements entering their combat units. This information points to significant challenges faced by the Russian armed forces on the front lines.

During the call, Syrskyi provided Grinkevich with a detailed overview of the current situation in combat zones, emphasizing the activities of Russian occupiers in key areas of the front. He also underscored the successes of Ukrainian forces in destroying the enemy and liberating territories, which has been made possible through coordinated actions and support from international partners.

Syrskyi noted that Russian troops are resorting to particularly brutal methods of warfare, including airstrikes on populated areas and critical infrastructure. Such actions have serious humanitarian consequences and undermine the foundations of civilian life in Ukraine. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed the necessity of continued international military assistance to Ukraine, particularly stable supplies of weapons, especially air defense systems and munitions.

As part of the discussion, the parties also addressed a list of priority needs for Ukraine under the PURL program, which is a crucial step in providing Ukrainian military forces with the necessary resources to continue their fight against the aggressor. Syrskyi emphasized that without adequate support from international partners, it would be challenging for Ukraine to maintain its positions and continue successful operations on the front.

These statements from Oleksandr Syrskyi are not coincidental. In February of this year, he already pointed out that 2025 marked the first year of the war when Russian army losses exceeded recruitment levels. This situation indicates that Russia's military resources are depleting, while Ukrainian forces continue to receive support from abroad, allowing them to conduct active combat operations and liberate occupied territories.

Thus, the situation on the front remains tense, but Ukrainian military forces continue to demonstrate resilience and readiness to fight for their country. It is crucial for the international community to continue supporting Ukraine during this difficult time, as only through collective efforts can stability and peace be achieved in the region.
