Students Can Now Purchase Discounted Tickets for Suburban Trains and City Express via UZ App

Students in Ukraine can now easily buy discounted tickets for suburban trains and City Express using the mobile application of 'Ukrzaliznytsia'. This initiative was announced by the company on Wednesday through its official Telegram channel, reflecting its commitment to simplifying travel for students.

According to the information provided, online tickets for students are currently available in 19 regions of Ukraine. These regions include Kyiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kirovohrad, Dnipropetrovsk, Chernihiv, Khmelnytskyi, Cherkasy, Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Chernivtsi, Kherson, and Zaporizhia. This significant expansion in the availability of discounted tickets for students will greatly facilitate their travel.

To purchase a discounted ticket, students need to open the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' app, select the 'Suburban' or 'Kyiv City Express' section, and indicate their departure and arrival points. After that, they must choose the 'Student Ticket' option instead of the regular one, enter the series and number of their student ID, click 'Add Discount', and proceed with the payment. 'Ukrzaliznytsia' noted that the discount will be automatically applied during the payment process, making it even more convenient.

The management of 'Ukrzaliznytsia' emphasized that the company plans to implement even more updates to enhance the convenience of train travel. This demonstrates their commitment to innovation and improving services for passengers.

In early April 2023, 'Ukrzaliznytsia' had already reported that online tickets for suburban trains became available for passengers in seven additional regions, including Lviv, Volyn, Ternopil, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, and Chernivtsi. This indicates the company's active efforts to expand its services.

Moreover, discounted tickets that are held in a special reserve by 'Ukrzaliznytsia' can also be purchased online, eliminating the need to visit a ticket office. This significantly simplifies the purchasing process for those who require discounted travel documents.

To take advantage of the new features, users need to update the 'Ukrzaliznytsia' app. In their profile, they should click 'Add Discount' and enter their ID number. If necessary, they can also activate the 'Person in Wheelchair' option, making the process even more inclusive.
