Kickoff of the Second Ukrainian Championship in Amputee Football

The Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship has officially commenced, featuring 18 teams competing across two divisions, promising an exciting season ahead.

The Ukrainian Football Association (UAF) has announced that the 2026 Amputee Football Championship kicked off on April 4, 2026, with 18 teams participating in five rounds divided into two divisions: the Super League and the First League. This year's championship is set to be even more thrilling as the teams represent various regions of Ukraine.

The opening round of the Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship showcased four matches that highlighted the high sporting skills and emotions of the participants. In a match between 'Pokrova AMP' from Lviv and 'MSK Dnipro' from Dnipro, the Lviv team secured a convincing victory with a score of 4-0. The goals in this match were scored by Oleksienko, who found the net twice at the 13th and 19th minutes, followed by Sush at the 40+1 minute and Shchehelskyi at the 40+3 minute.

The second match featured 'Bartka' from Ivano-Frankivsk against 'Kolos Bureviy' from the Kyiv region, which ended in a 1-1 draw. Romanishyn opened the scoring at the 20+4 minute, but Buzeruk managed to equalize at the 18th minute.

In the match between 'Metalist 1925 Nezlamni' from Kharkiv and 'Khrystonostsi' from Lutsk, the Lutsk team emerged victorious with a score of 2-1. Inshakov put the Kharkiv team ahead at the 14th minute, but Korol scored two goals at the 33rd and 36th minutes, securing the win for his team.

The match between 'Shakhtar Stalevi' from Donetsk and 'Vikings' from Ternopil was also intense. The Donetsk team, trailing 0-1 after a goal by Konon at the 20+1 minute, managed to turn the game around thanks to the efforts of Nedzelskyi, who scored two goals at the 22nd and 40+1 minutes, ensuring a 2-1 victory for 'Shakhtar.'

The first round of the Super League will continue on Sunday, April 5, when four more matches will take place: 'Pokrova AMP' will face 'Kolos Bureviy' again, while 'MSK Dnipro' will play against 'Khrystonostsi.' Additionally, there will be matches between 'Bartka' and 'Vikings,' as well as 'Metalist 1925 Nezlamni' against 'Shakhtar Stalevi.' In the First League, teams such as 'Veres Mriya' from Rivne, 'Dnipro Chest' from Dnipro, 'Titans' from Zhytomyr, 'Vinnytsia AMP' from Vinnytsia, 'Podilsk Wolves' from Khmelnytskyi, 'Stal Bukovyna' from Chernivtsi, 'Pokrova AMP 2' from Lviv, 'Kryvbas AMP' from Kryvyi Rih, 'Sich' from Zaporizhzhia, and 'Obolon Pryriv' from Kyiv will compete.

The Ukrainian Amputee Football Championship will take place in eight cities: Kyiv, Khmelnytskyi, Lutsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, and Zhytomyr. The total number of matches for the season will exceed 150 games, promising to be a true celebration of sports for fans.
