Ukrainian Youth Association Presents Its Activities in Vilnius

The Ukrainian Youth Association (SUM) recently announced an important event scheduled for April this year, aimed at engaging the Ukrainian community in Vilnius to discuss key issues concerning the youth movement in Ukraine and beyond.

The Ukrainian Youth Association (SUM) has recently shared on its official Facebook page about a significant event set to take place in April this year. The External Development Department of SUM is planning to meet with the Ukrainian community in Vilnius to discuss crucial topics related to the development of the youth movement both within Ukraine and in the diaspora.

During this meeting, representatives of the Association will conduct two main sessions where they will elaborate on the organization's mission, its educational methods, and the opportunities available to Ukrainian youth in exile. This initiative marks an essential step in strengthening the ties between young Ukrainians living in Lithuania and their homeland.

The Ukrainian Youth Association is one of the oldest and most influential youth organizations within the Ukrainian diaspora. It fosters youth development based on patriotism and Christian ethics, which are significant values for Ukrainians around the globe. The organization's motto, 'God and Ukraine,' encapsulates its core principles and values.

The primary goal of the SUM representatives' visit to Lithuania is to unite Ukrainian youth around national values, support their identity, and attract new members to the global SUM network. This network operates actively in dozens of countries worldwide, focusing on supporting Ukrainian youth in various aspects of life, including cultural, educational, and social development.

It is noteworthy that on October 5, 2025, the founding assembly of the SUM branch took place in Gdańsk, Poland. This event was significant as Poland officially became the 14th country where the organizational unit of this global Ukrainian organization will operate. This development reflects the expanding influence of SUM and its active engagement in various corners of the world.

Thus, the meeting in Vilnius will serve as a vital milestone in the development of the youth movement among Ukrainians living abroad. The Ukrainian Youth Association continues to work on strengthening the connections between young Ukrainians and their cultural heritage while providing opportunities for growth and self-realization.
