As a result of the collision, one female passenger died at the scene, while eleven others sought medical assistance for various injuries. The military driver of the Volkswagen was hospitalized in serious condition, raising concerns about his future health.
DBR officials arrived at the accident site immediately after it occurred and initiated preliminary investigative actions. They documented the circumstances of the event and collected necessary evidence for further investigation. It is known that a criminal proceeding has been opened for violation of traffic safety rules leading to the death of a person, in accordance with part 2 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. This article stipulates a punishment of up to 8 years of imprisonment.
