Senators Demand Explanations from Trump Regarding Visit of Sanctioned Russian Deputies

They stated, "Putin has made it clear that any peace for Ukraine is an illusion. His only ambitions regarding Ukraine are to obliterate its existence."

Furthermore, the Senators specifically addressed the individuals included in the delegation, recalling that Deputy Vyacheslav Nikonov had previously referred to the U.S. and NATO as the 'Fourth Reich' on Russian television, while Mikhail Delyagin had endorsed the destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure.
