Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Frigate in Novorossiysk Port and Drilling Rig 'Sivash'

On April 6, Commander Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign 'Madyar', announced significant drone strikes on Russian military assets, including the frigate 'Admiral Grigorovich' and the floating drilling rig 'Sivash'.

Commander of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Drone Systems (SBS), Robert Brovdi, known by his call sign 'Madyar', made a crucial announcement on Monday, April 6, regarding drone attacks on Russian military targets. He reported that overnight, Ukrainian drones successfully struck the frigate 'Admiral Grigorovich', which is stationed in the port of Novorossiysk, as well as the floating drilling rig 'Sivash', owned by the occupiers and located in the Black Sea waters.

In his statement, Brovdi highlighted that the operation was successfully executed thanks to the efforts of the Birds of the 1st Operational Center of SBS, and it was planned and coordinated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). He emphasized that the extent of damage inflicted on the Russian targets is currently being assessed by intelligence.

The frigate 'Admiral Grigorovich' is the first military ship of the 'Burevestnik' project of the Russian Navy. This frigate is armed with eight cruise missiles of the 'Kalibr' type, as well as the 'Shchit-1' air defense missile system, which has the capability to launch 24 missiles. Despite the frigate launching air defense missiles during the approach to the target, this did not prevent Ukrainian drones from striking their objective.

Regarding the floating drilling rig 'Sivash', Brovdi reported that it was attacked by the Birds of the 413th Operational Group 'Raid' in collaboration with the deep strike forces of the Ukrainian Navy. This indicates the coordinated actions of Ukrainian military units and their ability to deliver significant blows to enemy military assets.

These strikes are part of a broader strategy of the Ukrainian Armed Forces aimed at dismantling Russian military capabilities that are used for aggression against Ukraine. Military experts note that such operations not only weaken the enemy's military potential but also boost the morale of Ukrainian soldiers and the population.

It is worth recalling that the frigate 'Admiral Grigorovich' has been actively used by Russian military forces to shell Ukrainian territories, particularly during missile attacks on key infrastructure. Therefore, its destruction or serious damage could significantly impact Russia's military capabilities in the region.

Thus, the actions of SBS demonstrate a high level of technological preparedness and effectiveness of the Ukrainian military, who continue to fight for their country using modern warfare means. These successes also underscore the importance of international support for Ukraine in its struggle against Russian aggression.
