China's Market Officially Opens for Ukrainian Wheat Flour

In a significant development for Ukrainian agriculture, Ukraine and China have signed an intergovernmental agreement that officially opens the People's Republic of China market for the export of Ukrainian wheat flour. This announcement was made by Serhiy Tkachuk, the head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP), on his Facebook page.

A crucial milestone has been reached for Ukrainian agrarians as Ukraine and China have formalized an intergovernmental agreement that allows for the export of Ukrainian wheat flour to the People's Republic of China. This pivotal news was shared by Serhiy Tkachuk, the head of the State Service of Ukraine on Food Safety and Consumer Protection (SSUFSCP), through a post on his Facebook page.

According to the information provided by Tkachuk, the relevant protocol outlining inspection, phytosanitary, and sanitary requirements was signed with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Ukraine, Ma Shengkong. This document is the result of collaborative efforts between the SSUFSCP and the General Administration of Customs of the People's Republic of China, highlighting the serious commitment of both nations to enhancing their trade relations.

Tkachuk emphasized that this development is not merely about expanding the geography of exports; it marks a significant step in the transformation of the Ukrainian agricultural sector. "This is not just about expanding the geography of exports, but also about a qualitative transformation – a shift from a raw material model to the export of finished products," he stated.
