Rescue Workers Show Aftermath of Strikes on Kharkiv

On Wednesday, April 2, Russian military forces launched another attack on the city of Kharkiv, employing Shahed-type drones. This horrifying incident occurred in the Kyiv district, where one of the drones struck a residential building, causing significant destruction and a fire. At the time of the attack, residents were inside the building, and as a result of the incident, one woman was injured.

According to information provided by the State Emergency Service (SES) and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleg Synegubov, the fire broke out in an eight-story residential building. The flames engulfed apartments on the second and third floors, with the total area of the fire reaching 200 square meters. Preliminary reports indicate that two women sustained injuries due to the attack.

Emergency responders and SES sapper units arrived at the scene promptly, beginning the process of mitigating the effects of the hostile attack. They are operating under challenging conditions, as there is an ongoing threat of repeated strikes from the enemy. Psychologists from the rescue service are also providing assistance to individuals who found themselves in a stressful situation due to this incident, attempting to support them both morally and emotionally.

This attack is part of a broader campaign by Russian forces, which have already conducted 11 drone strikes against Kharkiv since the beginning of April 2. The city, which has long suffered from aggression, has once again become a target for hostile actions, raising concerns among local residents and authorities.
