Ukraine’s Air Force warned of groups of Russian attack drones moving across the country, while the Kyiv City Military Administration said an air alert had been declared in the capital because of the threat of enemy UAVs. Air defense systems operated in Kyiv during the alert, officials said. Timur Tkachenko, head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, later reported that debris from a downed Russian drone had fallen onto the roof of a 20-story residential building in the capital’s Obolonskyi district. Information about possible casualties or the scale of damage in Kyiv was still being clarified. As of 4 a.m., the aerial threat remained in Ukraine’s northern, southern, central and eastern regions. In Dnipro, Russian strikes damaged transport infrastructure, Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration head Oleksandr Hanzha said at 5:35 a.m. A fire also broke out, and one person was injured. The overnight attack followed a series of Russian drone strikes on Ukrainian cities and came as Ukraine’s General Staff reported heavy fighting along the front, with the most intense Russian activity on the Pokrovsk and Huliaipole axes.
