On the morning of April 7, 2023, two Shahed drones belonging to Russia struck a warehouse of Star Brands located in Pavlohrad, Dnipropetrovsk region. This attack resulted in a large-scale fire and caused serious damage over an area of 5,500 square meters of the storage facility.

This assault was part of a massive attack during which Russia launched 110 drones across Ukraine. Of the five drones targeting the Pavlohrad area, three were intercepted by air defense systems. The escalation of the situation in the region also included a strike by a Russian FPV drone on a civilian bus in Nikopol, resulting in the deaths of four people and injuries to 16 others.

The Star Brands group is currently assessing the financial losses incurred, which include the destruction of raw materials and finished products stored in the warehouse. "Material losses are a challenge, but our main priority is people," representatives of Star Brands stated in a Facebook announcement. The company's logistics team has already implemented an emergency detour plan to ensure timely deliveries to partners and clients despite the destruction in Pavlohrad.

It is important to note that there were no casualties among the company's employees, as they were in a shelter during the attack. Star Brands previously operated under the name Snack Production before its reorganization in 2022. The group manages a diverse portfolio of businesses in the food, hygiene, and logistics sectors. Its snack division includes brands such as Flint (croutons), Chipster's (potato chips), BigBob (nuts), and San Sanych (sunflower seeds). The Star Grocery product line includes the brand "Khutorok" and oversees flour mills, a pasta production factory, and a fruit and vegetable processing plant.

Additionally, it is worth noting that according to the Star Brands website, the group has suffered infrastructure losses as its production base is located in the Dnipropetrovsk region, which is subject to constant attacks. The company continues to work on recovery and adaptation to new conditions to ensure stability in its operations and support its clients during these challenging times.
