Russian Occupation Forces Plan to Create Buffer Zone in Vinnytsia Region from Transnistria Side — Pavlo Palisa
Russian occupation forces are reportedly planning to establish a buffer zone in the Vinnytsia region, specifically from the side of the unrecognized Transnistria. This information was revealed in an interview with Pavlo Palisa, Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, during a broadcast on RBK-Ukraine.
Russian occupation forces have set their sights on creating a buffer zone in the Vinnytsia region, strategically located adjacent to the unrecognized territory of Transnistria. This alarming development was disclosed in an interview with Pavlo Palisa, the Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, which aired on RBK-Ukraine.
Palisa stated, "They have even included a point in their plans regarding the establishment of a buffer zone in the Vinnytsia region from the side of unrecognized Transnistria. This is the first time such plans have been documented. I must say frankly that there is no need to panic, as at this moment, I do not see the forces on their side capable of implementing all these intentions," emphasizing that the situation remains under control.
In addition to the Vinnytsia region, Palisa noted that Russian forces are also looking to create buffer zones in the Kharkiv, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions. He highlighted that these actions are accompanied by attempts to seize Zaporizhzhia and Kherson, and in the long term, the aggressors intend to realize their ambitions of capturing Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.
On March 10, Commander of the Joint Forces Group Mykhailo Drapaty reported that Russian occupation troops are aiming to establish a 20-kilometer "buffer zone" along the border in the Sumy and Kharkiv regions, which has led to the capture of border villages. This information has raised concerns among local residents and military personnel.
On March 4, the Joint Forces Group reported that in the South Slobozhansky direction, Russian troops attempted to breach the state border of Ukraine by attacking the positions of Defense Forces in the direction of Zybyn and Kruhlyi in the Kharkiv region. These actions indicate a worsening situation in eastern Ukraine, where Russian forces continue their active operations.
Experts believe that the establishment of buffer zones may be part of Russia's strategy to destabilize the situation in Ukraine and expand territorial control. They stress the importance of international support for Ukraine in light of the escalating aggression from Russia.
In light of these developments, Ukrainian authorities are urging citizens to remain vigilant and prepared for potential provocations from the occupiers. It is crucial for Ukrainians to stay informed about the situation and adhere to safety measures.
Thus, the situation in Ukraine remains tense, and any new attempts by the occupiers could lead to further escalation of the conflict. The Ukrainian army continues to fulfill its duties, defending the territorial integrity of the country.
