Russian Occupiers on the Front Receive New Spirit-030 Satellite Communication Terminals — Sergey Beskrestnov

Ukrainian Defense Ministry advisor and radio technology expert Sergey Beskrestnov, known by the call sign Flash, has made a significant announcement regarding new satellite communication terminals being utilized by Russian occupiers at the front.

Sergey Beskrestnov, an advisor to the Ukrainian Minister of Defense and a noted expert in radio technologies, has recently disclosed critical information about the new satellite communication terminals that Russian occupiers have begun to deploy on the front lines. According to Beskrestnov, these new terminals emerged after the occupiers lost access to the Starlink system.

In a message shared on his Telegram channel, Beskrestnov reported that Spirit-030 satellite terminals have started arriving at the front. He explained that this terminal represents a portable version of satellite internet, functioning with a specialized geostationary communication satellite. This advancement allows for the use of smaller antennas — 30 centimeters in diameter, as opposed to the usual 90 centimeters. He noted that Russian military forces have been actively supplying these terminals to the front, raising concerns among Ukrainian forces.

Beskrestnov also highlighted that pilots from the 414th SBS brigade, known by the call sign Madjar Birds, were the first to detect and destroy one of these satellite communication terminals. This incident underscores the ongoing efforts of Ukrainian military personnel to identify and eliminate new threats on the battlefield.

Flash urged all pilots to remain vigilant regarding these new targets, emphasizing the importance of rapid response to changes in the tactical situation. He added that other Russian satellite internet terminals, which utilize larger antennas, are easily detected by Ukrainian forces, enabling them to swiftly neutralize these threats.

According to information provided by Ukrainska Pravda, Russian military forces first received Spirit-030 terminals back in June 2025. Notably, these terminals have been integrated into the arsenal of the 144th Motorized Rifle Brigade, indicating their active use in combat conditions.

Furthermore, military resources reported that in September 2025, Spirit-030 terminals were showcased during joint Belarusian-Russian exercises dubbed Sprint. This demonstrates that Russian military forces are actively incorporating new technologies into their combat tactics.

Thus, the detection of new Spirit-030 satellite communication terminals on the front lines confirms that Russian troops continue to adapt to the evolving conditions of warfare, necessitating constant readiness from Ukrainian forces to respond to new challenges.
